General Equivalency Diploma (GED)

  • GED Exam – “Adults who are 16 years of age or older who are not enrolled or required to be enrolled in school may be eligible to take the GED exam. You must be certified as “test ready” before scheduling an appointment to take the GED exam. Those interested in taking the GED exam must first contact the Adult Education Enrollment Center at 485-3400.”
  • YourGED.org – A partnership between the Dollar General Literacy Foundation and the Ad Council, find free referrals to local GED programs a this site.

  • ACT Inc. – From the creators of the ACT test, this is an excellent resource for students and parents. It has an online need estimator, too.
  • The College Board Online – Links to scholarship searches; online SAT registration; college board test dates; college search information; a financial aid calculator; and more.
  • COMPASS – This is the entrance exam used at KCTCS.
  • CPat – CPAT is the entrance exam used by Sullivan University .
  • ETS.org – The web site for the Educational Testing Network. Here you will find information on practice tests, financial aid, careers and jobs, colleges and universities, and test and services directory.
  • Princeton Review – Provides information about testing for the SAT, ACT and PSAT.
