Children & Families

Story Hour: Each week, we offer story hour for toddlers and preschoolers.

Story Hour to Go: Do you have a group of children in a preschool or daycare setting?  Would you like our Children’s Librarian to visit your classroom or after school program?  Contact the library to schedule a story hour at your location.

Family Craft Night: An evening of crafts for the entire family.  Each month we will feature a different topic.

Lego Club: Dream, build, and create with our Lego Club.  Children of all ages, parents, and caregivers are welcome to join us.  Stop by the library any time to view the most recent creations.

Family Movie Matinee: Each month we will show a newly released movie.  Bring the entire family for a fun afternoon.

Tween Xbox Tournaments: For ages 8-12, challenge your friends in some of the newest games to see who is top dog.  Check our calendar for upcoming times.  Parent permission is required.

Crafty Kids:  Stop by any time on Saturdays to work on a craft.  Crafts will be selected based on current library programs.

Teens

Teen Writing Group: New writer’s group forming for teens (ages 13-19).  Do you write or want to write?  If you are interested in being a part of a local writers group, please attend our meeting. Writers Groups help members to sharpen their writing skills by sharing and critiquing work. They also provide inspiration, encouragement, and information exchange.

Adults

Computer Classes (Advanced registration required): Classes start with basics like how to turn on a computer and use a mouse.  We will progress to additional topics like Microsoft Office products, email, and Facebook.  Please contact the library to let us know what classes you would like to participate in and your availability.

Book Discussion Groups: Contact the library for upcoming selections and to reserve your copy.  The current book discussion group meets the 4th Monday of each month at 5:00 pm.  This group reads all types of books; Mysteries, Christian Fiction, Westerns, Classics, Biographies, and more.  If you are interested in forming a new discussion group focusing on a particular genre, please contact the library.

Lincoln County Writer’s Group:  The library is home to the Lincoln County Writer’s Group.  Do you write or want to write?  If you are interested in being a part of a local writers group, please attend our meeting. Writers Groups help members to sharpen their writing skills by sharing and critiquing work. They also provide inspiration, encouragement, and information exchange.

Happy Scrappers: New and experienced scrap bookers are invited to spend the day working on their new or existing projects.  Free and open to all ages.
