Adanta Clinical Services – Provide a holistic and a comprehensive array of mental health, human development, chemical dependency, and prevention services. Services include: Individual therapy, Chemotherapy, Group therapy, Psychiatric Evaluation, Family Therapy, Federal and State Probation and Parole Counseling, Adult Co-Dependency Counseling, Medication Therapy, Marital Counseling, Adult Alcoholic Counseling, Hospital Screening, Case Management, Substance Abuse Counseling & Referral to Inpatient services.
Arthritis Foundation – Services include: Public education, Patient/Community Services, and Professional Education. We can provide speakers such as Doctors, Physical Therapists, Dieticians, Etc. We also can provide some social activities, as well as do research and advocacy for those suffering with arthritis. We also offer exercise classes as well as resources.
Bluegrass Area Development District – Provide quality services for those in the Bluegrass area. (One of 15 regional planning & development agencies in KY). Services include: Economic Development, Aging Services, Appalachian Regional Commission Grant, Human Service Programs, Workforce Investment Area, and Infrastructure Grants (e.g. Water and Sewer).
Bluegrass Community Action – To assist low-income families and/or elderly needs through such programs as weatherizing homes, heating assistance projects. H.E.A.P. (Heating Energy Assistance Program) Aid and assist clients in a home heating crisis, intake of applications, contacting vendors with benefit approved, working with other agencies in order to alleviate a client’s crisis. Weatherization Assistance – Weatherize (Repair and insulate homes, replace windows and doors). Wintercare- Funds collected from utilities customers to be used for the purpose of preventing loss of heat during the winter. F.E.M.A.- Federal Emergency Management Agency provides emergency service for those with emergency needs such as no food, heating fuel, electric, water cut off or someone with an eviction notice. Commodities/ Partner with United Way/Education work programs.
Bluegrass/Lincoln County (Formerly Comp Care) – Assist individuals and families in the enhancement of their emotional, mental and physical well -being by providing mental health, mental retardation/developmental disabilities and substance abuse services. Services include: Individual, Group, Family, Marital, Couple Therapy, Case Management, Substance Abuse services, Therapeutic Rehabilitation Program, Children’s After School Program, and Intake, Screening and Referral. Psychiatric services are provided with use of medication as needed.
Community Based Grief/Loss Counseling – Provide short-term grief/loss counseling and referral services to those in need. Services include: Counseling for persons grieving the loss of a loved one. Educate the bereaved persons of the grief process and provide a safe environment in which they can share feelings regarding their loss.
Fort Logan Hospital – Provide quality medical care to individuals in Lincoln County and surrounding areas at the lowest possible cost. Services include: acute care, emergency services, Physical, Occupational, Speech, and Respiratory Therapies, X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT Scan, and Lab, and VIP Birthing Suites with Courtyard.
Gentiva Health Services – Services include: Skilled nursing visits, Home Health Aides for assistance with all personal care and activities of daily living, Licensed Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurses and Medical Social Workers, Home Infusion Services, and Private Sitters. Waiver Services are available for the elderly and disabled who require additional support to be maintained in their home. Can provide bathing, shopping, light housekeeping and meal preparation.
Heritage Hospice & Transitions Inc – Provide palliative (for comfort) care for the terminally ill patients and their families in the final stages of the illness. Focus is quality of life and care is provided in the patient’s home environment or in a local nursing home. Services include: An interdisciplinary team of professionals and volunteers that provides social, spiritual, physical and emotional support. Nurses, social workers, certified nursing assistants, chaplain and volunteer plan and administer care, as well as support and education for the patient’s family to be able to care for their loved one.
Isaiah House – To help men who have had criminal trouble and life controlling issues such as drug and alcohol addictions, as well as other issues. Services include: Living Free Support Group, drug, alcohol, and tobacco testing, GED training, job placement, individual counseling, transportation, meals provided, medical, 24 hour monitoring, required church attendance, structured Bible study and prayer, individual ministry, referrals for financial assistance, and practical living skills.
Judge Executive Medicine & Glasses Fund – To provide adults in need of eyeglasses. Through a partnership with the Bluegrass Lion’s Club adults may be eligible for eyeglasses. Applications maybe obtained during the above office hours.
KY Cancer Program – Community cancer control, cancer education and referral to cancer resources, free publications, affiliated with the University of KY, the University of Louisville, and the Center for Disease Control and the National Cancer Institute. Assistance and information for any cancer related question or problem.
KY Office for the Blind – The Department for the Blind is a specialized agency which provides vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with severe visual handicaps so they may become more independent and enter into employment. The Department for the Blind may provide services needed to obtain vocational goals and enter employments, Diagnostic and Evaluation Services, Counseling, Guidance, and Vocational training, Medical surgery and therapy, Visual Devices and Assistive Technology and Independent Living Services.
Kidney Health Alliance of Kentucky – Seek the total answers to diseases of the kidney. Patient’s services provide a brighter tomorrow to victims of kidney disease. Services include: Drug bank, ID tags, Newsletters, Support Groups, Kids to Kidney Kamp, Patient Picnic, Public Educational material and Patient medication boxes.
Lifeline Home Health Agency – Services include: Skilled nursing visits, Home Health Aides for assistance with all personal care and activities of daily living, qualified Speech Therapist, Licensed Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Pediatric Nurses, Registered Nurses and Medical Social Workers.

Lincoln County Cooperative Extension Services – Provide the general public with practical and useful information on agriculture, nutrition, budgeting, parenting, family life skills, leadership and community development, youth 4-H youth clubs, extension homemaker educational clubs and mass media. Monthly educational programs include: Diabetes Support and Information Group, advisory efforts to County Fair, Farm Bureau and Farm Community Groups, soil testing, crop testing, and crop and livestock recommendations.
Lincoln County Health Dept – Provides preventive health services and nutrition information. Services include: Immunizations, Vital Statistics, Birth and Death Certificates, Tuberculosis, Venereal Disease, AIDS Testing, Family Planning, Prenatal, WIC, Well Child, Dental Health Education, Hypertension ( Screening and education), SIDS counseling and Infant Car Seat Loan Program ( Up to age 4), Diabetes and nutrition, as well as those who wish to quit smoking.
Lincoln County Public Library – Provide informational, educational, recreational and cultural books, programs, and material for all ages. Services include: Books, videos, audio’s, filmstrips, inter-library loan, audio-visual equipment, story hour, magazines, talking books service for blind or physically handicapped, community room, bookmobile, genealogical materials, microfilm reader/printer, and reference service, copy and fax service, and computer with internet access.
Lincoln County Senior Citizens Center – Provide for the social, emotional, physical and financial needs of Lincoln County’s senior citizens. Services include: Transportation Services, Information Referrals, Escort Services, Telephone Referrals, Outreach Services, Reassurance, Homemaker Services, Congregated Meals on Mon, Wed, and Fri, Chore Services, Home Meal Delivery, Shopping Assistance. All services are offered to individuals 60 years of age or older and those who are younger but have spouses who are 60 years and older.
McDowell Home Health Agency – Provide the highest quality home health service effectively, appropriately and ethically for our patients. Services include: Skilled nursing visits, Home Health Aides for assistance with all personal care and activities of daily living, Licensed Speech, Physical and Occupational Therapist’s, Pediatric Nurses, and Registered Nurses.

Quest Adult Day Health Center – To assist individuals who need help with some of their normal daily activities, including personal care, nutrition, social activities, and interaction. Services include: Nursing care, personal care, exercise programs, group activities, monitoring of diet, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, nutritious meals, and monitoring of health.
Rural Development Services – To provide supervised credit to rural families that can not obtain credit from private sources at rates and/ or terms they can reasonably meet through the following loan programs. Rural Housing 502 Insured Program- Home ownership loans to buy, build or repair homes that are modest in size, design and cost. RH Repair Loans/Grants- Assist very low income families with repairs to improve substandard housing. RH 504 Grant- Repair grants to senior citizens that lack repayment ability for a 504 loan. Funds must be used to remove health and safety hazards.
Salvation Army – Serve the needs of the poor both spiritually and physically. Services include: Emergency disaster service, help with emergency needs such as: Free clothing, furniture, household goods, rent, gasoline, electricity, heat, food vouchers, and food pantry, eyeglasses, counseling, missing persons bureau. Free summer camp program for children.
Social Security Administration – To administer Social Security and Supplemental Security Income Programs. Handles claims regarding Medicare, Retirement, Surviors and Death Insurance. Also handles all Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income benefits.
