The Lincoln County Public Library seeks an enthusiastic, innovative, and energetic library professional to serve as a full-time Children’s & Teen Services Librarian. This position requires extensive knowledge of young adult and children’s literature, prior programming experience, and the ability to act as a liaison to parents, guardians, and teachers. Ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working with children, previous library service, and hold an MLS. All library employees are required to have both criminal background and child abuse clearances.
As the children/Teen Services librarian, you will plan, promote and execute programs for all ages, birth through young adult and their parents, caregivers, and teachers throughout the year.
Strong technical skills are necessary including the ability to utilize Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube as a program platform, develop webpage resources, and use library automation software.
As part of the library team, you will also perform general desk duties including circulation, reference and customer service. Some nights and weekends are required. Reliable transportation and good driving record necessary.
Pay range: DOE $10-$12/hour
